History of Moir's

Moir's is a family-owned vendor of pools, hot tubs, and outdoor furniture located in Ukiah, California. Our friendly atmosphere and decades of experience ensure that we can help you find the best product for your needs.
Moir's Pool & Patio Showroom has been providing quality services to the Ukiah community since it was founded more than 60 years ago. The Moir family has made retailing a family tradition since 1892 — that's more than 127 years of tradition!

Don and Teresa are proud to be fifth generation Moir retailers, as well as third generation Moir’s to serve the greater Ukiah area at our current location. We are both “locally grown” having spent our childhoods in Ukiah and Redwood Valley. We are graduates from Ukiah High School classes 1981 and 1980, and Teresa is a graduate of Mendocino College class of 1984.

Our direction of the Moir’s store came in 2014 with the retirement of Don’s parents. It is a journey that stretches us and calls us to be the very best we can be. We like what Fawn Weaver said, “The greatest marriages are built on teamwork. A mutual respect, a healthy dose of admiration and a never-ending portion of love and grace.”

We are passionate about providing pool and spa care information that is accurate and reliable with instructions that are understandable. We work to stock products that will provide you with the best value for your dollar. We desire to provide each visitor to Moir’s with a personal shopping experience. That may be through our computerized water analysis and consultation, by exploring the many options and avenues for pool or spa ownership, or simply by knowing your name. We hope that your time spent with us is uplifting and puts a smile on your face.

We have a contractors license for the pool and hot tub field, and will continue going to great lengths to increase our knowledge and skills in these areas. Our employees attend national education seminars where innovative state-of-the-art techniques are taught. In this day and age, "lip service" is just about all you can get from some establishments. Our customer relations policy can be summed up in these short phrases:

Often you can find Teresa and Don fishing one of our local lakes. "Bass fishin' is our exhale. The time we spend together on the water is like GOLD.
